Staying Close To Home – Exploring Ontario: Millcroft Inn & Spa, Alton, Ontario

Living in Ontario for us is somewhat dull – we’d rather be off travelling around Europe or the Caribbean, but millions of people from around the world come to Canada and Ontario specifically for their holidays or vacation time. We don’t understand it, but people we talk to in other countries don’t understand why we go to their country for a holiday! Since we’re not flying anywhere anytime soon, we’re focusing on travelling closer to home by car for the time being – re-discovering home if you will…This week we’re off to pamper ourselves at a spa! The last time we were anywhere near a spa was when we were in the town of Spa in Belgium… but we’ve never actually spent time in one…until now. Read More

Good Reads: Enjoy Reading While On Holiday? Dive Into Some Great Adventures By Our Favourite Author

(This post contains affiliate links.  Click here to see what that means.)

Whether you enjoy reading in your back yard, on the beach, on a plane or during those never-ending waits at the airport, we recommend you dive into a great adventure series written by our friend and favourite USA Today Bestselling Author, Nicholas Harvey.

Reading is a great way to escape life’s mundane drudgery, but with so many authors to choose from, how do you know which ones are worth bothering about? Staying Close To Home: Exploring Ontario – Muskoka, Ontario

This is the first of several articles that we’re going to be doing… Ever since the world-wide lockdowns we have been wondering when or IF we’ll get to travel again. You’ve probably noticed we’ve been very quiet for the past 2 year – we just didn’t know what to expect going forward, and even if we were going to continue doing TravelBloggers anymore. Now that things are a bit clearer we’ve decided to continue, but we’re staying close to home… for now.

Worried About The World-Wide Luggage Problem At Airports? There Is An Alternative

(This post contains affiliate links.  Click here to see what that means.)

We’ve all seen the nightmare pictures of luggage piled up at airports and sometimes even train stations. People flying to one destination while their luggage goes in the opposite direction. Flying is stressful enough without having to deal with wayward luggage that may or may not arrive at your destination, before you’re heading back home wearing the same clothes you started with on your holiday – last week. Belgium Has More To Offer Than The World-Famous Spa-Francorchamps Racetrack!

Belgium… what do you know about this country that sits right beside France and Germany? We knew very little, but we were going there for a race at the world-famous Spa-Francorchamps racetrack.

Since we’d never been to Belgium before, we thought we’d spend some time after the race doing a quick tour of the area. With only about 2 ½ days before we were scheduled to be in Germany, we took in as much as we could in that short period of time… and nobody does speed-touring like us! Read More
