One of the highlights on the IndyCar Series circuit is the July stop in Toronto. Each year the race in Toronto turns out to be one of the most exciting on the calendar. There are always bumps, crashes and controversy, a driver can still win the race even if he starts from the back – and that’s why the fans love it. But wait, there’s more! That’s right, there’s 2inTO! 2014 marks the second year in a row that Toronto will host two, back-to-back IndyCar races that are part of a fantastic annual Canadian Summer Festival by the shores of Lake Ontario. Having covered the Toronto Indy photographically for various media outlets since the year 2000 we were ready to experience it all from the other side of the fence. Last year (2013) we decided to cover the event from a fans perspective for our own website – TravelBloggers.ca. It was great to actually enjoy the festivities simply as real race fans –

About a year ago we stumbled across a little start-up company called LugLess on the TV Show, Shark Tank. Though none of the Sharks took the bait and LugLess left the tank without an offer, they caught our attention. We were intrigued by their concept of travelling without baggage to avoid the increasing hassles of air travel and the exorbitant fees for over-weight and over-sized suitcases, extra bags or bags not included fares (you can find our original article here “LugLess” on your next trip when you travel without the baggage!). Since our original article, LugLess has received many accolades for their innovative service, but most noteworthy, they’ve been voted one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s 100 Brilliant Companies of 2014 in the Travel and Transportation category. Take that Sharks! As a bit of follow up, LugLess provided us with some interesting details on their progress

We’re here again sharing a couple more great travel-related videos from one of Gail’s favourite YouTube channels by cleaning guru, Melissa Maker at Clean My Space. This short video reviews some of the main things to look for after you check in – INCLUDING how to check for BED BUGS and what items not to use!
A while back we did an article covering Packing Tips and another on Uses for Ziploc Bags. Just recently though, we’ve discovered Ziploc Travel Cubes/Space Bags and wanted to fill you in on what’s trending in the world of travel. At first glance we weren’t sold on the idea of over-sized Ziploc bags that you suck the air out of with a vacuum … because who’s going to have a vacuum on hand for the return trip? However, Gail spotted a great travel-related video on one of her favourite YouTube channels
